Industrial design at its best
A heavy industrial packaging that looks like a consumer packaging. Developed by SKF as a transport cover for the company's rolling stock, ProofBox is a school example of industrial design at its best.
As an active member of the project team, GeJi has, based on the designer's suggestions, participated in the design work with technical solutions and drawings. To a large extent, the selection of materials has also been managed and responsible for the procurement of tools.
ProofBox, which is made of injection molded polypropylene, has an insert that fixes the bearing and prevents vibration.
A flexible structure allows you to pack 48 different layers with only three different box sizes. The soft-shaped, grip-friendly box can be stacked and also makes it easy to pick in and out of the sometimes very heavy rolling bearings.
The packing process has become more efficient and can be automated to a greater degree. ProofBox can be recycled or burned with low environmental impact. All production takes place on site at GeJi.
